Lake Chuzenji is one of the most famous lakes in Japan, located in Nikko. It is located at the foot of Mt. Nantai, and was formed when the eruption of that volcano dammed the valley below. On the shores of Lake Chuzenji are the Chuzenji Onsen, and 25 kilometers of walking trails around the lake allow visitors to enjoy nature and take a stroll.
