About the destination
Shichiri Mihama Beach is is the longest sand and gravel beach in Japan. It has been selected, along with other scenic spots, as one of the 100 best beaches in Japan and one of the 100 best natural wonders to leave behind in the 21st century. The Kumano Grand Fireworks Festival, one of the largest fireworks displays in Japan, is held here.
